WHAT DO THE BIBLE STORIES
REALLY MEAN?
HOW DOES THE BIBLE SAY
WE SHOULD READ IT ?
We have to be careful because we are
about to look at critical Bible stories and see
what message has been hidden behind the text.
Before we can do that we have to make sure
that the Bible itself gives us permission.
Permission to look at the text not literally
but symbolically.
THE SCRIPTURES THAT SAY THE BIBLE
IS NOT TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY
The Bible is very clear that its
words are
symbolic and not to be taken literally.
Galatians
4:22 says that the Old Testament story
of Abraham and Sarah is allegory.
It means something else.
Romans 2:28
says a Jew is not one outwardly
but inwardly.
2 Corinthians 3:6
specifically warns us about
taking these words literally,
be not a minister of the letter.
2 Corinthians 3:15
says that when people read
the Old Testament a veil is
over their heart,
meaning they do not understand
what they see,
it is hidden.
Matthew 13:34
says Jesus never spoke but in a parable.
Everything was symbolic.
MYTHOLOGY
Mythology is basically a story
with a hidden meaning.
It speaks of astronomy and anatomy
(our relationship to the universe).
But it does it in ways in which
characters take
on the identity of natural elements.
That is the nature of the Bible.
The Bible is mythology,
Greek mythology I might add.
JERUSALEM TEMPLE
There is a temple in Jerusalem.
The Muslims revere it as their holy site.
The Jews say that the present temple is located
right where their temple will one day rise.
It is a central point in the endless killing that
has gone on in what is called “the holy land”.
Yet, the scriptures are clear that
the Lord does
not live in a house made with hands.
The temple of Moses is constructed exactly as
the human brain with an outer place,
an inner holy place and the two separated by a veil.
The temple where God dwells is consciousness.
It is the mind, and yet the earth tribes have
slaughtered each other for ages over this
building of wood and stone.
The letter kills.
THE CRUCIFIXION
Will common sense and reason allow us
to
consider a God in the sky who is unable
to forgive without receiving a human sacrifice
and tasting blood?
Can we not for a minute reflect on the true
meaning of such a story,
which has been part of mythological texts for ages?
JESUS
Jesus is the true essence of
universal light
within all being, and is the power of the universe
in creation and healing.
As such Jesus is not only a he, but a she as well,
and yes the crucifixion of Jesus
is symbolic illustrating a deep and wonderful truth.
The cross of crucifixion is your
body.
You’re head is the top part of the cross.
Your shoulders the cross bar, and your
torso the lower part.
Jesus is the life essence inside of you that is
sacrificed on the cross (your body) to rise from
the lowest depths to the right hemisphere of
your brain where Christ
Consciousness appears.
This occurs through meditation.
Jesus’ crucifixion, the mystery that earth tribes
have completely missed even
though Jesus himself told them , it is within you.
