This page is in no way meant to condone or condemn
anything.

I am simply trying to clarify the Biblical issue
of Jesus and homosexuals.

LET'S FOCUS ON JESUS ONLY

I realize that other writers in the Bible take a different
approach to homosexuality.

I am only concentrating here
on what Jesus is quoted as saying about the subject.

DOES THE GAY LIFE STYLE OFFEND YOU ?

If you are offended by gays and their life style,

that is your business and you have every right to express

yourself as you desire within the law.

THE CHRISTIAN  POINT OF VIEW

My concern however is with the comments I see

from Christians.

They stand on the Bible and declare that the gay life

style is sin etc. etc.

JESUS ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE

APPROACHED THE GAY SITUATION AS

 NORMAL AND NATURAL

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you will have to

change your opinion on the subject , because

Jesus obviously had no problem with gays.

WHAT IS A EUNUCH ?

To understand this, you must first consider the 

word Eunuch.

A Eunuch to most people is a castrated male.

Eunuchs were very important

in Biblical times and in fact, many Eunuchs rose to

great stature in ancient social structures.

THERE WERE THREE KINDS OF EUNUCHS

DURING BIBLICAL TIMES
 

There was the natural Eunuch,

and the mutilated Eunuch,

and the religious Eunuch

A NATURAL EUNUCH

A MUTILATED EUNUCH

AND A RELIGIOUS EUNUCH

The religious Eunuch abstained from sex to live

in a monastery.

They endorsed celibacy as priests are supposed to today.

The mutilated Eunuch was castrated to work in a harem.

But who was the natural Eunuch?

ROMAN LAW DEALING WITH EUNUCHS

In ancient Roman Law it is laid out by the

Roman Jurist Ulpian .

in a document known as Lex Julia et Papia,

 Book 1 (Digest 50.16.128),

that "Eunuch is a general designation:

the term includes those who are eunuchs by nature,

as well as  those who are  mutilated.

In stature he places the natural eunuchs first.

UNDER LAW,

TWO EUNUCH CONDITIONS WERE COVERED.

MUTILATED AND NATURAL.

THE NATURAL EUNUCH IS PLACED AHEAD

OF THE MUTILATED

The mutilated Eunuch was designated as one

diseased and the natural Eunuch was designated

as one not diseased.
 

The law (D 28.2.6) says that someone who cannot

easily procreate

is nonetheless entitled to institute a posthumous heir,

but it gives no concrete examples of such a man.

In the same context, it states that the "eunuch" holds

this right as well,

while "castrated men" expressly do not.

THE LAW SEPARATED THE EUNUCH

(TODAY WE CALL GAY)

FROM CASTRATED MEN

 Ulpian makes a distinction between the

on castrated Eunuch and the castrated Eunuch.
 

Whole eunuchs who were freemen, unlike

mutilated eunuchs,

were eligible for marriage and for adopting

children (D 23.3.39.1, 28.2.6).

In fact, anatomically whole eunuchs had all the

rights and duties of ordinary men.

This is important because there are some

who have written me that natural eunuchs could

have been people who were born

with physical sexual problems.

As you can see above, the eunuch had to be

anatomically whole,

meaning the person could not be physically

defective in order to qualify as a natural eunuch.

UNDER ROMAN LAW

THE GAYS OF THAT TIME WERE ALLOWED

TO MARRY AND ADOPT CHILDREN

NATURAL EUNUCHS ARE THOSE

WE REFER TO TODAY AS GAYS

The point of all this is that ancient law

differentiated between natural Eunuchs, 

and mutilated Eunuchs.

Natural Eunuchs were homosexual men of that time,

and had all rights and duties of ordinary men.

COMMENTS ON THE ANCIENT

GAY LIFE STYLE

FROM LEADERS OF THAT PERIOD

 CLEMENT OF ALEXANDRIA

Clement of Alexandria warned Christians against

the evils of eunuch servants being placed in

charge of women, because they will act as pimps

for the women, and moreover, "the true eunuch is

not unable, but [merely?] unwilling to have sex."

In other words, the women might get the eunuchs

to sleep with them.

WHAT IS IMPORTANT IN THIS STATEMENT IS THAT

CLEMENT DEFINES THE TRUE EUNUCH

AS ONE WHO IS ABLE TO HAVE SEX (WITH WOMEN),

BUT UNWILLING TO DO SO.

THAT IS THE HOMOSEXUAL OF THIS DAY

THE WORDS OF JOSEPHUS

Josephus, in Jewish Antiquities IV 8,40, indicated

that in the case of some, since

it is evident that their soul has become effeminate,

they have transfused that effeminacy to their body also.

THIS STATEMENT OF JOSEPHUS TAKES THE POSITION

THAT THE INDIVIDUAL IS FEMININE WITHIN THEMSELVES,

AND THAT IS DEMONSTRATED OUTWARDLY

THE MOST FAMOUS JEWISH HISTORIAN

     PLINY THE ELDER

Pliny the Elder assigned eunuchs and hermaphrodites

to the "third gender called half-male,"

THE WORD HERMAPHRODITES REFERS TO ONE WHO

HAS BOTH MALE AND FEMALE CHARACTERISTICS.

PLINY REFERRED TO EUNUCHS AND HERMAPHRODITES

AS HALF MALE

THE QUR'AN

Although the Qur'an never uses the word khasy,

it recognizes that not all persons are male or female and 

that there are some people who are aqim, or

"ineffectual,"109  and some men who "lack the

primary skills of males.

THE QUR'AN DESCRIBES THIS TYPE OF PERSON

AS INEFFECTUAL AND LACKING PRIMARY

SKILLS OF MALES WHICH WOULD BE

INTERCOURSE WITH FEMALES

SUETONIUS     ABOUT     THE EMPEROR TITUS

Suetonius said of the emperor Titus that

"he was suspected of excess; and likewise

of lust because of his crowds of catamites,

 and eunuchs."

                 Apuleius, 

tells of a band of "half-men" [semiviri],

1 who call each other "girls" [puellae] and

have sex with young men,

both as active and as passive partners.

2  They also act as cultic priests of the Mother Goddess,

a traditional role for eunuchs.

CATAMITES WERE BOYS WHO HAD SEXUAL

ENCOUNTERS WITH MEN

YOU WILL NOTE THEY ARE DIFFERENTIATED

FROM EUNUCHS.

BUT HERE SUETONIUS BRINGS UP THE

TERM HALF MEN WHO

CALL EACH OTHER GIRLS AND HAVE

SEX WITH YOUNG MEN.

WHAT DOES JESUS SAY ABOUT EUNUCHS?

Now what does Jesus say about  Eunuchs,

keeping in mind that the natural Eunuchs were

the gays or homosexuals of the time.

JESUS REFERS TO THE THREE KINDS WE

HAVE COVERED ABOVE.

RELIGIOUS EUNUCHS WHO GIVE UP SEX

FOR RELIGION,

MUTILATED EUNUCHS WHO

ARE CASTRATED FOR HAREMS,

NATURAL EUNUCHS WHO ARE THE ONES WE

TODAY REFER TO AS GAY
 

KJV Matthew 19:12

 For there are some eunuchs,

which were so born from their mother's womb: GAYS

And there are some eunuchs, which were made

eunuchs of men: CASTRATED

And there be eunuchs, which have made

themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake.

RELIGIOUS (PRIESTS ETC)

He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

Here Jesus first refers to the

Natural Eunuch that today

we call Homosexual or Gay

Next he refers to Eunuchs made so by men.

These were castrated males who were to serve

in harems.

Finally he refers to Eunuchs who give up sex for religion,

saying they made themselves that way for the

kingdom of heaven.

NOTE ABOVE:

JESUS KNEW THIS WOULD SHOCK

PEOPLE AS IT DOES CHRISTIANS TODAY

HE KNEW SOME PEOPLE WOULD NOT ACCEPT IT

AS CHRISTIANS DO NOT ACCEPT IT TODAY

SO HE SAID

HE THAT IS ABLE TO RECEIVE IT,

LET HIM RECEIVE IT.

IN OTHER WORDS

YOU MAY NOT LIKE IT,

BUT THAT'S THE WAY IT IS

SO NOW YOU CAN CHOOSE WHOM TO ACCEPT.

THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH

OR

JESUS.

THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A BIG DIFFERENCE

You can be anti Gay if you wish.

That is your right.

However, you cannot be anti gay and claim to be a

follower of Jesus Christ.

 As you can see.

He did not feel that way. 

So take your choice, you are a follower of Jesus

or you're not.

IF YOU ARE AGAINST GAYS

THEN YOU ARE AT ODDS WITH JESUS CHRIST

BASED ON THE SCRIPTURE WE HAVE STUDIED

AND THE CONDITIONS AT THAT TIME

You certainly have a right to disapprove of the

Gay life style.

That is your right.

But when you approach it from a Christian standpoint

you are actually  anti Christ.

CHRISTIANS SAY THAT GAYS

CHOOSE THAT LIFESTYLE

JESUS DISAGREES AND SAYS

THEY ARE BORN THAT WAY
 

If Jesus says that some are born that way from their

mothers womb, and you say that those within the womb

are creations of God, that means that those whom

you may not approve of are creations of God. 

SO IF YOU BELIEVE THAT GOD CREATES FROM

THE WOMB AS CHRISTIANS DO.

THEN YOU MUST FACE THE FACT THAT FOR

WHATEVER REASON

GOD CHOSE TO CREATE GAYS FROM THE WOMB

On top of all of this, the man who was selected to translate

the Bible into English,

King James 1, was gay.
